Canada Roadshow opens registration in Salvador; met – News

The 3rd edition of the Canada Roadshow, an event presenting Canada as a study destination, is open for registration. The meeting will be held on September 25, at the Hotel Fiesta Bahia, in the Itaigara neighborhood, in Salvador, from 15.00 to 22.00.

The event, promoted by Hi Bonjour, the only Canadian and Brazilian agency present from east to west Canada, aims to present to the public the university’s process, conditions and reach available to Brazilians to initiate immigration projects.

The program includes lectures and fairs that will bring together major Canadian educational institutions, from various provinces. The registration fee is BRL 20 and must be done through the website (access here).

“We will also clarify the doubts that permeate the decision-making of those who are interested, in addition to being able to have personalized services, with selected educational institutions and visa and immigration partners”, emphasized Thaís Della Nina, founder of Hi Bonjour .

Digital influencers based in Canada will be present at the event, talking about their experiences. Among them, Camila Ferreira and Paula Affonso, both of whom are in process with Hi Bonjour, as well as Joel Lima who will tell about his daily life in a country that welcomed him as an immigrant.

Apart from Salvador, the exhibition will take place in Recife and São Paulo, on September 24 and 28 respectively. Apart from these capital cities, Ribeiro Preto/SP (13.09), Campinas/SP (15.09), Curitiba/PR (15.09), São Carlos/SP (19.09), Florianópolis (20.09), Manaus/AM (22.09), São José dos Campos /SP (2209), Fortaleza/CE (2209) and Goiânia (2709) will receive the pocket format of the event, with lectures from Canadian language teaching institutes and schools.

Canada is currently facing challenges such as an aging population and declining birth rates. Immigrants helped address this by contributing to the growth of the country’s workforce, so immigration has been a key part in building Canada into what it is today: a country that celebrates multiculturalism and diversity, has a global reputation for welcoming people from all over the world. and defend the most vulnerable.

“Taking a higher education course in Canada is the path chosen by many Brazilians thinking about immigrating to the country. Training at a Canadian institution counts points in Express Entry, the government’s online system for nominating professionals that assigns a score to each characteristic of those intending to immigrated (age and family in Canada, for example)”, informs Thaís Della Nina.

According to data from the Canadian government, 11,420 Brazilians received permanent residency in Canada in 2021. Of these, 43.5% immigrated to the country through the Canadian Experience category, one of three federal government programs that are part of Express Entry.
