In an interview with The Sun newspaper, Amber Allen’s mother explained that the move started as a way to cut costs and reduce spending on shopping, while they were accumulating huge debts due to school and college fees. “I literally threw my money down the toilet,” commented Amber, who explained that after not using toilet paper for a while they realized how superfluous this item was and it made no sense to buy it again.

The family’s babies were the first to be cleaned with reusable cloths and diapers, and even after the family got the bill under control, Amber said the habit change had been absorbed by them, who continued to use the washcloth. .
