Canadian fans want to watch over 40 games at the stadium in World Cup – Football

Only one day left until opening World Cup from Qatar. The tournament debut takes place this Sunday, at 1pm (Brasília time), with a game between the selection of the host nation against Ecuador. In this year’s edition of the tournament, Canadian fan Lee Komish will try to get into the Guinness Book, the book of records.

At the age of 44, the football fanatic intends to take part in 41 matches in this edition of the World Cup. That way, the fans will break the record of Thulani Ngcobo, from South Africa, who has appeared in 31 matches for the current 2010 World Cup.

“It’s not easy and it takes work, but I love it,” Kormish told the newspaper. Toronto star🇧🇷

Canada returns to the world’s biggest national team tournament after 36 years. Member of group F, team Canada makes their World Cup debut on November 23 at 4pm against Belgium. Croatia and Morocco complete the list of opponents in the first phase.

Qatar’s logistics facilitate the ambition of supporters to break the record for the most watched match at the World Cup. The farthest distance from one stadium to another is only 50km. Even so, the mission will not be easy, apart from being present at the match, the Canadian will need to have two witnesses to confirm her presence at the event.

“I’ve been waiting for this my whole life, always in love. We’ve had a lot of dark moments. Words can’t explain. Chills run down my spine, just shivers run through my body. How cool is that? That Canada is here on when a Canadian is about to break a Guinness record”, he concluded.

Canada has been programming plans to break the record since last year. Along the way, the fans thought that the most difficult thing was getting tickets to the match. The fan has been present at other World Cups, but this will be his first time watching Canada on the pitch.
