Actress Samantha Weinstein from “Carrie”died at the age of 28, after a two-and-a-half year battle with ovarian cancer, according to information originally published by a Canadian news websiteGlobal News.
According to the publication, Samantha died on May 14, but the death has only been confirmed now by her father, David Weinstein, who paid tribute to his daughter.
“Sam is actually the living embodiment of sunlight. He is so full of positive energy that anyone who knows him will say he just lights up every room he walks into,” she said.

Samantha played high school student Heather in the 2013 remake Carriestarring Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore.

Preta Gil announced in January this year that he dealing with colon cancer. Since then, the artist has received the support of several friends and family who have always stuck together. Gilberto Gil, the singer’s father, was one of the first to do it support through social media. “Pretinha, since you were born, everything around you has become more beautiful and intense. Your strength has always been an example for all of us. We are with you”, wrote the singer-songwriter
Francisco Gil, Preta’s son, also uses the web to support his mother and reassure his fans: “To everyone who sends messages, everything will be fine. My mom is fine, we are fine… Always in the light”
Preta’s ex-husband, Otavio Muller, Francisco’s father, share old photos where he hugs the singer and their son. “Amor”, he wrote in the publication’s caption which garnered more than a thousand laudatory comments.
Flor Gil, Preta’s nephew, always publishes stories accompanied by his aunt, even in the hospital, during treatment. The teenager also wrote several motivational messages for the singer. “Everything will be fine, aunt. Everything is in order. I love you, I love you very much,” she said, in one of the publications.
Bela Gil, Preta’s sister and Flor’s mother, too glorify the singer. “Preta is a mother, a daughter, a grandmother, a sister, a friend and our love,” she wrote on Instagram.
Simoni too show solidarity with colleagues Black Gil. The former participant of Turma do Balão Mágico says that he is ready to help the singer whenever he wants to speak, because he is too diagnosed with cancer, in August last year. Simony underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions, but has completed treatment and is recovering at home.

Preta is on her fifth cycle of chemo and has commented that she has no doubt that she will emerge victorious from the treatment, as she has a lot of faith and trust in the doctors. He also said that a cancer diagnosis suffers from a stigma, but medicine and science today are well advanced.
