Friends look at SC-influenced crash and dead dog in US: ‘We will enter Canada together’ | Saint Catherine

The accident that killed 29-year-old Brazilian influencer Jesse Koz and his dog, named Shurastey, in the United States fi was seen by some friends, who were traveling in the van right in front of the two. They spent the weekend together and, on Monday (23), take the road to CanadaKoz’s final destination before arriving in Alaska, as per his wishes (read about the crash below).

Together with Dodongo, nicknamed the 1978 Beetle, with a license plate from Balneário Camboriú (SC), Jesse toured America accompanied Golden Retriever dog breed. The duo is accompanied by more than 400,000 followers on social networks and already passed 16 countriesapart from Brazil.

The couple Diego Strutz and Roana Petri Celeste published, on Tuesday evening (24), information that they were traveling with friends to a neighboring country. (see below) at the time of the accident. The two have Instagram profiles, with nearly 100,000 followers, where they share their experiences traveling around America in the van.

“We had a very bad road accident yesterday. We did everything in our power to save Jesse and Shurastey but sadly they died on the spot”, they wrote.

Jesse and Shurastey’s journey was part of a project called “Shurastey or Shuraigow?”, an adaptation inspired by the song “Should I Stay or Should I Go” (translated from English Should I Stay or Should I Go), a hit by The clashes . weekend together

Roana told g1 SC that the couple had been together since Saturday morning (21) with a duo from Balneário Camboriú, in a camp in the state of Oregon, United States of America.

“We’ll be entering Canada together. We’re leaving Monday morning, minutes later the accident happened“, he recalls. His friend said that they too would go together, for a few days, to Alaska.

How was the accident

According to the traveler, Koz could not brake in time when a car stopped on the highway to turn left.

“Jesse was unable to brake, lost control of the beetle and collided head-on with a car on the other side”, he recalls.

In his last post on Instagram made on Saturday, Jesse is excited about meeting Diego and Roana.

“We’re camping in the state of Oregon, in the middle of nowhere, and from here we continue our journey towards the Canadian border. But first, we’re going to visit some people I’m a fan of!!!”, he wrote.

Help with transfers

The pair of friends released, on Tuesday night, “virtual crowdfunding” to cover the procedure of bringing Jesse and Shurastey’s bodies back to Brazil. “They deserve the most beautiful goodbye that only we can give,” they wrote. The target of R$ 120,000 was reached a few hours later.

On Twitter, the Governor of Santa Catarina, Carlos Moisés, stated that he had contacted the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carlos França, asking for support from the Itamaraty for the transfer of the remains. According to politicians advisers, the minister asked for contact with the family in Santa Catarina. g1 SC tried to contact the folder, but received no response until the last update of the issue.
