Batam, Batamnews – Efforts to increase foreign tourist visits to Batam and Bintan, Riau Islands are not only supported by policies in the health protocol sector.

Immigration sector policies were also issued to support sustainable tourism in the two areas of the Riau Archipelago.

Head of Immigration Infokim Class 1 for Batam, Tessa Harumdila said that her party was currently preparing to implement a circular regarding immigration facilities for foreign tourists.

“Of course we are preparing for this from an immigration perspective,” he said, Monday (22/3/2022).

He said the SE regulates the duties of immigration officials in Batam, Tanjungpinang and Tanjunguban for those who enter Batam and Bintan from abroad.

This policy applies to Indonesian citizens, transportation crews, foreigners holding Diplomatic Passports or Service Passports who are granted Diplomatic Visa Free or Service Visa Free facilities, foreigners holding Visa or Stay Permits, and foreigners holding APEC KPP in accordance with the provisions of the laws and regulations. .

Regarding visas or residence permits, they consist of: diplomatic visas, service visas, visit visas, visit visas, limited stay visas, diplomatic residence permits, official residence permits, permanent residence permits and limited stay permits.

This includes providing Free Special Tourist Visit Visa and granting a Visit Visa on Special Tourist Arrival at certain Immigration Checkpoints.

The granting of Free Special Visit Visa for Foreigners, citizens of countries subject to free tourist visits, are countries in Southeast Asia.

Meanwhile, it also provides special tourist arrival visas to foreigners who are citizens of certain countries and entities subject to special tourist arrival visas, namely the United States, Saudi Arabia, Australia, India, England, Italy, Japan, Germany, Canada, South Korea, Mexico, France, Spain, Taiwan, China, and countries in Southeast Asia.

“This circular is effective on March 22, 2022 at 00.00 WIB and will be evaluated further,” said Tessa.
