“Sophie and Fetisha” on NRK

Sophie Elise and Fetisha Williams have decided to terminate their podcast agreement with NRK, the two announced in a statement.

– NRK wanted the current agreement to be amended in a way that imposes strong restrictions on our other business activities. I have no desire or opportunity to close the rest of my business in order to save NRK’s reputation, and so we feel compelled to end the collaboration, says Sophie Elise In the press release.

Proud of the concept

He writes Fetisha Williams and Sophie Elise that they are proud of the concept they have developed in collaboration with NRK, and that they have been pleased with the success of the series in age groups that NRK otherwise struggles to capture.

– We refused other more lucrative offers to collaborate with NRK, and we do not regret it. Working with such a large and professional organization has been instructive and rewarding, and we were ready to develop the concept further, says Fetisha Williams.

Will continue with podcasts

The two go on to say that there will always be podcasts, but it’s unclear who the collaborators will be, or where they will be published.

– Besides the fact that it was educational, it was also a lot of fun. Sophie Elise and I are therefore going to continue the podcast adventure together. We look forward to that, says Fetisha Williams.

NRK recently went through the collaboration on the podcast. It came after Sofie Steen Isachsen (28), known as Sophie Elise, posted and then deleted a photo of herself and another influencer holding a bag containing something white. We don’t know what was in the bag.

NRK confirms

– We can confirm that the collaboration on the production and publication of the “Sophie and Fetisha” podcast is over, specifies Vibeke Furst Haugenresponsible for dissemination at NRK in a press release.

“NRK has concluded that the commercial ties with both profiles are too extensive to be combined with the ongoing podcast production for NRK,” the press release further states.

– We wanted to try something completely new and create something with one of Norway’s biggest influencers. In the wake of recent debates, NRK has chosen to review all aspects of the collaboration, including the agreement. We have now concluded that cooperating with players with such extensive business ties and activity is incompatible with the continuous production of year-round podcasts for NRK. This is a mistake that we are in the process of correcting, says Fürst Haugen.
