Mundial’2022: Morocco beat Canada and for the second time in history qualified for the round of 16
Canada lost this Thursday against Morocco, in their final Group F third and final round meeting. The Canadians, already knocked out of the World Cup in Qatar and are not counting on the presence of FC Porto’s Eustaquio due to injury. Morocco returned, for only the second time in World Cup history, to qualify for the last 16.
Morocco entered the field looking to score and in the fourth minute Ziyech opened the scoring.
Still in the first half, the African team increased their advantage through En Nesyri’s goal in the 23rd minute.
Aguerd’s unfortunate own goal in the 40th minute did not cancel the victory for the Moroccan team who finished first in Group G.
Canada, by this number of losses, joined hosts Qatar and became the second team to finish the competition with zero points.
From Hakimi’s assist to En-Nesyri’s goal, what a goal 🤯
