Fire in a kindergarten in Oslo: – Spotlight

Emergency services are moving to Haugerud in Oslo, where a fire was reported at a kindergarten.

– The nursery is full of people. Possible risk of spread. There is smoke in the neighborhood, police announced on Twitter.

– The firefighters have no control, they say at 7:56 p.m.

It is also burning in the grass behind the building toward the subway line, and firefighters are working to prevent it from spreading to the tracks.

The fire department declares it to be Karlstua Kindergarten. A one-story building is on fire.

– We started extinguishing. The kindergarten is full of people. We have just started extinguishing and are working to prevent internal spread in the building, fire department commander Tor Audunhus told TV 2.

– Entire line 2 from Hellerud to Ellingsrudåsen is stopped due to a fire in a building right next to the track at Haugerud station, writes Sporveien on Twitter.

– There is a risk of propagation on the metro track, further specifies Sporveien.

At 7:45 p.m., firefighters say they are on site and have started extinguishing. They work to prevent the spread.

– Some parts of the building are on fire.

– Due to the amount of smoke, firefighters recommend that residents keep doors and windows closed, police said.

The public is also asked to move away from the area.
