Pernille Døsvik’s girlfriend is coming to WC ski from Canada – Johannes Høsflot Klæbo doubts they will meet

COUPLE: Cross-country skier Johannes Høsflot Klæbo and influencer Pernille Døsvik.

Around the World Ski Championships in Planica, everything is done to avoid illness. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (26) doesn’t want to see his girlfriend and family, while Sjur Røthe (34) and Pål Golberg (32) take the children out of the nursery.

Sprint on Feb. 23 opens cross country drill during WC in Planica Slovenia. Klæbo and most of the women’s squad will train at altitude in Lavazé, Italy going forward, while the men’s team will warm up for the World Cup in Skeikampen.

What everyone has in common is that they are doing “everything” to avoid getting sick right now. That could spoil the shape of the big highlight of the season.

Johannes Høsflot Klæbo considers manager-father Haakon’s trip to the shop in Italy to be the riskiest of this period.

SUPPORT PLAYER: Klæbo’s girlfriend Pernille Døsvik and manager father Haakon at a ski race in Davos, Switzerland, just before Christmas.

His roommate Pernille Døsvik has moved to Vancouver, Canada as an exchange student, but will be coming to the WC as planned, as will the Klæbo family.

– Do you want to meet them?

– I don’t think so. They must be left to fend for themselves. I will definitely meet “the father”, but I will not meet anyone else, Klæbo told VG and continued:

– In this case in the end, you have to be careful at least in the first part. Then you shouldn’t be completely paranoid either, I don’t want to continue like we did before the Olympics. Then I got tired before the championship started.

– So the girlfriend came to the other side of the world, but can’t meet you?

– I guess we can see each other from a distance, maybe with a little wave of the hand. But he can see ski racing and I think his family will fall. There will be a lot of people coming to watch, it will be fun.

– No hugs and kisses, then?

– That time, that sadness. We’ll see, Klæbo smiled.

Before they returned to Norway after last weekend’s World Cup in Toblach, veterans Sjur Røthe and Pål Golberg took the kids out of kindergarten to reduce the chance of getting sick.

– He (Didrik) went in and out of the nursery a little bit. The joy she showed when she returned to the nursery was considerable, so it might be a bad thing for the father to take her out again now, said Sjur Røthe and added:

– He will be allowed to go to kindergarten, but in the last few days before I go home, unfortunately he has to take care of his mother and other family members.

Goldberg carried her four-year-old daughter, Frida, out of the nursery before driving home. He also has a daughter, Sara, who is about six months old.

– When we come home from the toilet, all we have to do is open all the floodgates, said Goldberg, laughing.

In the period around and after the Tour de Ski, many Norwegian runners fell ill: Anne Kjersti Kalvå, Tiril Udnes Weng, Martin Løwstrøm Nyenget, Simen Hegstad Krüger, Didrik Tønseth and Emil Iversen.
