Public notice UEL selects undergraduate students for exchange in Canada

Londrina State University (UEL), via Dean of Undergraduate Studies (PROGRAD) And Office of International Relations (ARI) launch Notice of Prograd/ARI 001/2022which provides for the selection of five undergraduate students to undertake an academic exchange with the universities of Montreal or Monctón, within scope Future Leaders in America (ELAP) Program.

This is a Canadian government program to support human resource development and the next generation of leaders in the Americas, while strengthening links between higher education institutions in Canada and Latin America and the Caribbean.

The scholarships also advance Canada’s goals for America: democratic and accountable government, human rights, the environment, diversity and indigenous peoples.

Applicants must be at least in second class or have completed 20% of coursework (either credits or modules), be enrolled regularly, and have an average above 7.0, among other requirements. Proficiency in the language of the institution (English or French) is also required.

The Prograd and ARI will make the selection based on public notification provisions and the Pro-Rectory will forward the candidate’s documentation to the Canadian institution, which will decide on the nomination of the candidate.

REGISTRATION – Applications must be submitted by February 20, 23:00, via email at cooperacao@uel.br, with the title “ELAP2022”. The completed form is available from the Mobility Program or at AR page, and sent with academic records, letter of intent to Collegiate, certificate of proficiency, curriculum Lattes and photocopies of passport identification pages valid until the end of the exchange, among other documents.

DATE – Preliminary results will be released on February 23 until 18.00 on the ARI and Prograd portals. Final results will be released on March 2 until 18.00 on the same portal.

Those shortlisted must confirm interest by the 7th, via email, and submit additional documentation, such as proof of citizenship, proof of registration, a letter of intent from the candidate and a letter of support from UEL (either in English or French) and others.
