Russell Peters embarks on first Canadian tour in four years in Victoria – Victoria News

After four years away, Canadian comedian Russell Peters is back home and has chosen Victoria as the first stop for his latest tour.

Stand-up Set Act Your Age Peters will make his Canadian debut at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Center on June 22. The show previously sold out in Chicago, New York, DC, Cairo, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, and will make 17 stops in Canada this summer before culminating in his hometown of Toronto.

Peters, who now divides his time between residences in Las Vegas and Los Angeles with his nine-year-old and newborn, was the first comedian to sell Air Canada Center in Toronto in 2007. Since starting his craft in his hometown at the age of 19 , Peters earned worldwide acclaim for Comedy Now! special; received Gemini, Peabody, Emmy and Canadian Screen Awards; was recently named one of Rolling Stone’s 50 Greatest Comics of All Time and is the first comedian to receive a Netflix comedy special.
