Indonesia is not included in the list of countries that are considered to have committed unfriendly acts against Indonesia Russia. The reason is because this list only applies to countries that have imposed sanctions on Russia because of the invasion of Ukraine.
As reported News WeekTuesday (8/3/2022), the list of hostile countries was released by the Russian government on Monday (7/3) local time, when the military invasion ordered by President Vladimir Putin into Ukraine entered its 12th day.
The Russian news agency, TASS News Agency, said in a report that the list had been approved by the government of the Russian Federation.
“Australia, Albania, Andorra, UK, including Jersey, Anguilla, British Virgin Islands, Gibraltar, EU member states, Iceland, Canada, Liechtenstein, Micronesia, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Republic of Korea (South Korea), San Marino, North Macedonia, Singapore, United States of America, Taiwan, Ukraine, Montenegro, Switzerland, Japan,” the decree said.
The Russian government decree said that the countries and territories included in the list were deemed to have committed “unfriendly acts against Russia, Russian companies and their citizens”.
“The countries and regions named in the list have implemented or joined in imposing sanctions against Russia following the start of special military operations of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine,” the TASS News Agency said in its report.
The Russian government also stated that business transactions in Russia involving countries included in the list would require special permission from the government. This step is in response to a series of sanctions imposed by Western countries against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.
