Returning from maternity leave, Vassy Kapelos returns to host Power & Politics on February 22. Check out the Q&A with Vassy below to learn more about him:
What do you like most about your job?
The people I work with. It’s a great team and a busy environment (in a fun way).
What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their life?
Travel alone.
What’s one thing you’ve learned during the pandemic?
My stepdaughter is amazing. I mean, I already knew about it – but they have handled school entry and exit issues very well – I admire them.
What’s your idea of a perfect day?
My husband would wake up with the baby at 7am, while I slept for hours instead of waking up 40 times. I will have a big breakfast full of food that is bad for me – continue to eat good food all day and spend it with my family.
What is your biggest achievement so far?
Skipping hyperemesis when I was pregnant and continuing to work when I was really sick. I didn’t wish that on my worst enemy!
Why should people watch ‘Power & Politics’?
Because the decisions politicians make affect your life – and if you want to know why they make those decisions, or in what way they will affect your life, or just plain old accountability – well, that’s what we’re talking about.
Interesting facts about you?
If I wasn’t a journalist I would be a baker 🙂
