Team Canada is one of three 3-0 teams at the 2024 Women's World Curling Championship in Sydney, Nova Scotia. On Sunday, Canada beat the United States 10-6.

It was a slow start for the Canadian team skipped by Rachel Homan of Ottawa, Ontario. The reason is, the American team passed by Tabitha Peterson scored two points in the first half due to a mistake by the third player from Canada, Tracy Fleury. The United States then took a 3-2 lead after three games, before Canada dominated. In the final four through nine, Canada outscored the United States 8-3 en route to a four-point victory. In the end of the eighth, Canada scored three points as Fleury managed to outwit two Canadian guards and Homan made a fantastic hit and roll behind the American guard.

The other two teams achieved three wins and zero losses. They are Stefania Constantini from Italy and Silvana Tirinzoni from Switzerland. Canada will face Italy and Switzerland on Tuesday after they face Norway on Monday. Tirinzoni has won the last four Women's World Curling Championships. Two more teams are above .500. They are South Korea and Denmark who have identical records, namely two wins and one loss. Denmark's only loss to date came to Canada with a score of 7-4 on Saturday.
