Engaging schools, gyms, entities, companies and social projects, Sesc Bento Gonçalves is preparing for the Day of Challenge (DDD) 2023. on May 31 with action at the Unit (Rua Barão do Rio Branco, 395), from 8 am to 5 pm . The program includes treadmill challenges, ergometric bikes and yoga classes with the exclusive senior group from Maturidade Ativa.

Apart from the sporting action, DDD will have a solidarity initiative, with a collection of UHT milk units, which will be donated to institutions serving vulnerable people registered at Mesa Brasil Sesc. Donations are ongoing and deliveries can be made at Sesc or Senac (Rua Silva Paes, 415).

In this edition of the project, organized by Sesc/RS in more than 50 cities in Rio Grande do Sul, the idea is also to encourage sharing. For this reason, the “DDD+1” campaign was created, which asked participants to invite a friend to practice for at least 15 minutes. Whether running, walking, dancing, playing soccer, volleyball, or other sports, the important thing is not to stay still.

About DDD: Challenge Day was created in the 1980s, in Canada, with the aim of generating public interest in sport and physical activity, through healthy competition between cities. Coordinated in Brazil by Sesc since 1995, Challenge Day is an initiative of TAFISA (International Association for Sport for All) – with support from ISCA (International Association for Sport and Culture) and UNESCO. It is a community movement that is always held on the last Wednesday of May, involving public authorities, private institutions and citizens working in partnership to mobilize the highest percentage of participants compared to the total population.

For 77 years, the Fecomércio-RS/Sesc/Senac System has been close to the communities and companies of Rio Grande do Sul in supporting development, happiness and change. Providing more access to culture, sport, health, recreation, assistance and education are priority services offered by Sesc and Senac in the State. In addition, with the support of affiliated business unions, Fecomércio-RS offers actions that encourage entrepreneurship and business growth in the tertiary sector.
