Grace, Too: Kelowna skaters will be dressing for Team Canada

At just 16 years old, Gracie Graham from Kelowna will be traveling to Sweden to represent her country.

The forward from Kelowna’s RINK Hockey Academy has been named to Team Canada for the IIHF Under-18 World Championship next January, having started his season at a points-per-game pace.

Graham has had five goals and 11 assists in 16 games so far this year in the Canadian Sports Schools Hockey League, his second season.

Graham’s name is well known within Kelowna hockey circles – his brother, Max, is a defenseman and assistant captain in the Kelowna Rockets WHL.

Team Canada was in a sort of ‘Group of Death’ in the January tournament, joining the US, Sweden and Finland in Group A.

Canada is the reigning gold medal champion.
