Guelph wrestling events raise money for local hospitals

Great White North Wrestling ‘INFERNO’ event takes place April 15th at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 234

Local firefighters flagged a wrestling promotion to help raise money for hospitals in the area.

Great White North Wrestling partners with Guelph Firefighters Benevolent Foundation to hold an event called ‘INFERNO!’ on April 15th.

Saturday’s show will take place at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 234 at 57 Watson Pkwy. S.

Virtue foundations are non-profit organizations that raise funds for community organizations. A rep said it meant a lot to them to help any way they could.

“We, as firefighters, we respond to many calls in the city. We see people in their worst days, and hospitals are very important to people,” they said.

“We get people there all the time, with the EMS crew, and we see the hard work the nurses and doctors put in the hospital, so anything we can do to support and help them is always great.”

This is expected to be a three hour long independent wrestling show, including intermissions.

There will be food and drink available for purchase.

Doors open at 6:15 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m

Tickets can purchased online for $15, or at the door for $20, while quantities last.
