Pimenta, the Secom candidate, confirmed Lula’s meeting with the foreign delegation

Ministerial candidate of the Special Secretariat for Communications (Secom), re-elected federal deputy Paulo Pimenta (PT-RS), said that the graduate president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) will meet, this Saturday, with a foreign delegation. According to the MP, many of these leaders wanted to have the opportunity to have a bilateral meeting with PT.

“The president is receiving foreign representatives,” he told reporters that afternoon, at the hotel where Lula was staying. “We have many representatives from foreign delegations and President Lula pays full attention,” he said. “There are still many people who have to accept.”

According to Pimenta, Lula was “excited” and “ready” for the inauguration.

During the day, there was a movement of embassies arriving at the hotel to meet the president who had graduated.

So far, representatives from the embassies of Canada, Chile, Germany, Russia, Guinea Bissau, Spain, South Korea and Japan have arrived.

The US Embassy is expected.

Future Secom said the agenda for meetings with foreign leaders was one of the factors that would weigh on Lula’s decision to attend the wake of Pelé, who died Thursday at the age of 82.

Football kings wake will be held at Vila Belmiro, in Santos, on Monday. “The president is trying hard to leave. We have scheduled him to go on Monday”, he commented.

In his opinion, if Lula decides to wake up, the president will need to “speed up these bilateral meetings with foreign representatives a little bit more so that nothing is delayed on the agenda.”
