The World Cup has another upset on Matchday 4

The 4th day of the World Cup in Qatar has another great surprise in store. As in Argentina’s 2-1 loss to Saudi Arabia, this time it was Germany who lost ground.

In the first Group E clash at the Khalifa International Stadium, the 2014 champions opened the scoring against Japan with a Gundogan penalty in the 32nd minute of the first half. However, the Japanese team turned around in the second half with goals from Doan in the 30th minute and Asano seven minutes later.

The highlight of the game was Japan goalkeeper Gonda, who made at least two miraculous saves while Germany still had the advantage.

In the other group match, Spain ignored Costa Rica and beat 7-0. The young Spanish team visited Al Thumama Stadium and took the top spot in Group E with goals from Dani Olmo, Asensio , two by Ferrán Torres, Gavi, Soler and Morate.

In the next round, Japan will face Costa Rica on Sunday at 7 a.m. in Ahmad Bin Ali. On the same day, at 4 p.m., we will have the first confrontation between world champions. Spain and Germany meet at Al Bayt Stadium.

In Group F, Croatia, currently second, failed to pass through Morocco. The first match of the day was mixed and ended in the third 0-0 of the competition. The star of the match was the Moroccan public, who supported the team from start to finish at the Al Bayt stadium.

The draw was good for Belgium, who sweated a lot to beat Canada 1-0, goal scored by Batshuayi, late in the first half. The big chance at the start of the match was just after 10 minutes, on a penalty kick from Davies, which goalkeeper Courtois saved.

The Canadians again complained about a controversial move two minutes later. Hazard collected the ball badly, Buchanan received it inside the box and Vertonghen stomped on it. The referee did not give the penalty and still scored offside with a ball from the opponent.

In the next round, Belgium will face Morocco on Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Al Thumama stadium. Croatia and Canada are vying for the three points on the same day, at 1pm, at the Khalifa International.
