The company is looking for a candy taster. Wages? 100 thousand dollars a year!

Can you imagine eating the most varied sweets and still being paid for them? Canadian company Candy Funhouse is looking for a candy taster position. His salary is up to 100 thousand dollars a year – more than 518 thousand reais – which is about 43 thousand reais a month. This is a dream job!

In addition to an amazing salary and various benefits, the company will also offer a complete dental plan, due to the many sweets for the winning professional to try. And age doesn’t matter: “Like a love of candy – positions aren’t limited by age,” he said in the job posting. “All you need is a passion for candy, pop culture and a sweet tooth.”

The application deadline is August 31 and only applies to those living in North America.

Job conditions

The Mississauga, Ont.-based company publicized its position as “the world’s first candy director.”

The successful candidate will be responsible for testing approximately 3,500 products per month, conducting company board meetings and approving new candy stocks with their seal of approval.

Minimum job requirements: You must be at least 5 years old, have a “obvious” love of sugar, and live in North America, as we said above.

The job posting says parents can apply to their children too, and candidates will undergo extensive taste training to certify their “golden taste” before being tasked with selecting Candy Funhouse stock.

The ‘candy taster’ position has no expiration date. If a 5 year old is selected, he can hold the title for life.

Jamal Hejazi, CEO of Candy Funhouse, admits that holding a youth leadership board meeting would be “a bit chaotic”, but he sees it as an opportunity for creativity.

“We believe that children’s unbiased opinions and creative imaginations will be a huge asset to Candy Funhouse,” he said. “They will bring ideas, campaigns and inspiration for new projects.”
