Executive Vice President of New Technologies at Avinor

Lars Vågsdal (55) comes from a job as head of Bank Operations at TietoEVRY, where he was responsible for operating the bank’s value chain in the Nordic region.

His profile, and his diverse and extensive experience as a technology leader in complex organizations, fits perfectly with Avinor. We are confident that he, along with the rest of the team, will elevate our strategic technology agenda and our implementation strengths, said CEO Abraham Foss.

At TietoEVRY, Vågsdal is responsible for banking system modernization projects, architecture, mobile and web channels, IT operations, security, compliance, project office and crisis management. Now he is looking forward to working on Avinor’s social mission.

– This is an interesting job and I am very motivated to do it. Avinor is a large and important social player with an ambitious strategy, which has put technology clearly on the agenda. I want to use the first period to get to know the organization, and together with our competent colleagues in the new technology unit, we will create an interesting and interesting workplace and complete our mission, said Vågsdal.

Vågsdal is 55 years old and has a background in telecommunications, broadcasting and banking. He was previously responsible for developing digital terrestrial networks for the radio, television and IT divisions at Telenor Norway. Over the past five years, he has been employed by EVRY / TietoEVRY and led the transformation of the banking system used by most banks in Norway, as well as the transition to flexible working methods.

At Telenor Norway, he led the IT division through major restructuring and transformation projects in both fixed network and mobile operations. Vågsdal will start working for Avinor during the second quarter.

yvind Hasaas will continue as acting head of the technology division until Lars Vågsdal is established, ensuring the continuity and management of the new division.
