Francisco Figueiredo calls for rematch with Canada to avenge UFC defeat

‘Sniper’ plans another duel against Malcolm Gordon to avenge defeat

Return to the win column, when finished Daniel ‘Noodles’ in the first round of the fight last Saturday (30), on UFC Vegas card 53, Francisco Figueiredo already focused on his next appointment in the organization.

Without suffering any major damage in the fight, which was completed in just one minute of combat, the ‘Sniper’, as the younger brother of flyweight champion (57 kg) Deiveson Figueiredo is known, projects a swift return to the Octagon and, apparently, has a preferential target.

In an interview with Ag fight, Francisco revealed that he was interested in a rematch with Malcolm Gordon, to avenge the defeat suffered in July last year.

At that time, the Brazilian – who won on his UFC debut – was finally overtaken by Canada in the jury’s unanimous decision. However, if his request was granted by the entity, Paraense promised that the duel would have a different outcome.

“I want to return the defeat to Malcolm Gordon, I want to face it again,” said Francisco.

With last Saturday’s result, Francisco Figueiredo now has two wins and one loss in the UFC octagon. In total, the flyweight has 13 wins, four setbacks, one draw and one ‘no contest’ in his professional MMA record.
