“I got a message saying, ‘Serious bear attack,’ uncle Doug Inglis reported to the Canadian newspaper, the Calgary Herald. Apart from the couple, their dog also died.

When Canadian authorities arrived at the crash site, in Banff National Park, the couple and their dog were dead. The bear, a 25-year-old female, was found and killed by hunters.

Doug Inglis and Jenny Gusse were on the seventh day of their journey when they were killed by a bear. An empty can of bear spray was found in the tent they were staying in.

The product will be used, but not to intimidate the animal.

The story of Doug Inglis and Jenny Gusse reminds us of the events narrated in the documentary ‘The Bear Man’ (2005), by German filmmaker Werner Herzog.

Winner of more than 22 trophies at international film festivals, the production tells the story of the deaths of environmental activists Timothy Treadwell and Amie Huguenard by a bear, in Alaska, in 2003.

This documentary is marked by the presence of shocking audio regarding the animal attack. Watch the trailer:
