Why practicing self-love has been ‘long and difficult’ for Maymay Entrata

Maymay Entrata

I’m drowning in love,” said actress and social media influencer Maymay Entrata about her current state of heart, especially after she revealed on Instagram recently that she already has a Canadian boyfriend.

The 24-year-old actress is currently in Canada to complete her studies. Online reports refer to Maymay’s man as Aaron Haskell. She posted a photo of herself for the first time on Valentine’s Day.

“I am happy here in Canada. I have wanted to study abroad for a long time, even before I became an actress. My mom knows this,” Maymay said during a virtual chat hosted by cosmetics brand Meagan Beauty, which the actress supports.

“My February was so much fun. My heart is happy to be able to spend time with someone special (referring to Aaron). Another reason my February is memorable is that many of my family members celebrate their birthdays this month. We would communicate with each other almost every day,” he began.

“It was an unforgettable month. I almost drowned in love. This is also because we welcome a new family member. My cousin just gave birth, so I’m very happy,” said Maymay.

During a media meeting, Maymay was asked several questions about how she has practiced self-love over the years. He admits that the process required to finally feel confident has been “long and arduous.”

‘Be yourself’

Maymay, hoarsely, added: “I didn’t plan on getting emotional. I just want to say that you shouldn’t base your definition of beauty according to how other people define it. There is a lot of noise outside that will really affect the way you see yourself. Never fall for it. If you rely on other people’s approval, you will never be happy. You will never be satisfied.

“In the end, it’s still nice to hear that people appreciate you for the beauty you have, that they know you feel confident because you’ve learned to accept what you have and don’t have,” she says. . “It’s much better to be rewarded because you are you. The point here is to be yourself.”

She was also asked if she had made any mistakes regarding beauty when she was young. To this, Maymay said: “It is more about my insecurities in relation to my physical characteristics. This has had a huge impact on my self-confidence. My advice to young girls: Accept your limitations and realize your abilities.

“Don’t forget that in accepting this flaw, you can make everything perfect. My point is that when you no longer feel influenced by what other people say about you, your true beauty will come out. You will also understand better those who criticize you. You’ll just say, ‘They’re just sad about their life, that’s why they’re after you.’”

Maymay adds that when you change your outlook, you will also be able to easily appreciate the people around you. “Never let your insecurities eat you. One day, we will all celebrate our beauty by forgiving ourselves and those who have hurt us. But for now, we must first accept that we have limitations and that we should not be ashamed that we have them. They are part of what will complete us as a person,” he said.

Stress free moment

Maymay was then asked to describe what for her was a stress-free day. He explains: “As we get older, we take on more responsibilities and obligations in life. Honestly, I can’t help but feel stressed because of all of them. Stress-free times for me are when I have finished all the things I need to do for work and study, and when I have cleaned the house. I really can’t sleep if I’m not done with everything.

“I didn’t want to just stop and carry on the next day because, then, they would just pile up and I ended up feeling more stressed. It’s good to know that you’ve done everything you should have done and there’s nothing more to worry about. To relieve stress, I like to watch movies and eat ice cream, which cools me down when I feel very hot and irritated inside. INQ
